Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has invited online applications from qualified candidates for Tax Assistant, Sub-Inspector, Clerk-Typist and Others post . The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written test and/or interview. The total number of vacancies is 939. The applications have to be submitted online on the official website of Maharashtra Public Service Commission.

• Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department -33
• Tax Assistant -478
• Clerk-Typist (Marathi) – 392
• Clerk-Typist (Marathi,English) -36

Pay Scale

• Rs.5200- 20,200 + Rs.3500 (GP)

Eligibility Criteria:-

• Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department – Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ,To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination.
• Tax Assistant -Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it, English Typing 30 WPM.
• Clerk-Typist (Marathi) – 1)Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. 2)-To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination.3)-Marathi Typing 30 WPM.
• Clerk-Typist (Marathi,English) –
• 1)Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. 2)-To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination..3)-English Typing 40 WPM.
